I was not digging 6ft post holes by hand. I’ll hang boards on the rails but I needed everything straight and true before I hacked it the F up.

my old neighbor who is a general contractor told me today the local lumber yard has 4x8x1/2” osb at 77 dollars a sheet. He found some for mid 30s a sheet so asked to use my trailer to get a couple bunks for a job he has to do. Not sure how much worse things will get but I’m glad I am not trying to build a house right now.

Lumber has gotten insane but everything else is going to go up a tone this summer/ fall. Was on a call with one of our suppliers at work and a 65CBM 40ft container is over $13000 in freight from China and apparently more in to L.A. Pretty much double what it was in February of this year. In China raw steel is up 70% year to date.
