Sure can't beat these old cubs. The garbage today doesn't fugging even come close. Mines a 74 and just now having engine problems. I'll probably rebuild the old iron 10 horse and return it to service one daylol i bought it that way for 550 bucks a few years ago

Gonna repower my old cub cadet tractor that I use to plow the drive. The original 10 horse motor is weak as fug and im tired of limping it along and fugging with it.
Exactly these old cubs have real transmissions and rears and were built to still be running 50 yrs later. This junk they call quality these days is pathetic. I'd rather try shoving a wet noodle up a bobcats ass than spend 3k+ on a modern lawn tractorexactly i work on more newer junk of others than i do of my own stuff
the hydrostatic reareends are alot of the problems as well they are weak and expensive to replace
the old cubs have cast iron gears and rearends i think the 122 weighs about 800 pounds
same transmission as my cub lo boy 154

Nice pictures slacker. I wish i could find pictures of the cab my uncle built for his old cub. He was a machinist and did a heck of a fab job. His neighbor did body work and painted it and pinstriped it to match the tractor.

That's what they are supposed to do. Save the occupants. They walked away didn’t they? Crumple and protect the people inside. I was quite happy with the protection mine provided me in my crash this summer.
Id test on that pile till the rod exited. There was a harbor junk by the job so I stopped and got something for a little upcoming project
