I ain't got any solid answers for this question. Lots of ways to skin this cat.

But.....I check the timing numbers, think about the size of the case, compression, etc, then run it some and try to figure out why its setup like it is. Then decide what changes to make. Trial and error still bears the most fruit in the end though.

A monkey told me once. the first rule of porting is do no harm. I still adhere to this to this very day.

Good evening guys. The lady has a gaggle of girls in the cool side of the barn working away so I took the opportunity to pull a 359 case together after I did a bunch of chores, got them pizza and lit them a fire. Of course I *f-worded one of the seals up. At this point, after so many, there's no reason I don't a) drive them straight or b) buy three. But I digress it's tits up time. 10 hours ain't gonna work itself tomorrow.

Listening to the users wants and needs helps get a saw they enjoy using I find. A second or two + or - doesn't mean much to most, unless the fastest thing going is what they specifically ask for, then I send them somewhere else.

Hi kids.
Speaking of chitty saws, I went hunting for parts for the 235 Hoosky POS this morning.
Fount em, so thats running.

Then I fount this little chit.
Oil tank was full of nasty old mix. Fuel tank was dry. Tank grommet for fuel line shrunk. Fixed that wif some Teflon tape. Starts and idles. Wont take Fuel. Carb is going for soak, and it should be a runner. Oh, had a dead sparkly plug too.
