I replaced the bfg ko2 best tire ever
With a set from tire recappers out of Tennessee they balance out okay. If I had to do it over would have went with treadwrights

It rarely sees pavement anymore just hauls the wood down the two traks

Back when I had my zr2 blazer and front wheel drive cars I always ran winterforce tires in the winter. They were cheap and performed well. My junk would go anywhere.
i have winterforce all the way around on the monte it doesnt get drove much anymore because mom has been getting surgeries on her eyes and i have other stuff to drive

My mechanic friend Adam (Amateur Cutter over on FHC) has had good luck with these:

Probably give them a shot when it's time to replace. BFG retreads but pretty tough to beat at 130 per to your door. The cooper Discoverer s/t max's on the truck are getting pretty long in the tooth.
wonder how they do on long trips ?

Welp I pulled the trigger on a simington 451c. Should be here next week. Looking forward to messing around with it over the winter.
if you need help get a digital angle finder which is about 30 bucks and give me a shout

Ive had real good luck with toyo m/t on my one tons. Theyre about the best on a heavy truck and I pull a lot with them. They wont wear like a street tire but is what it is.
what kinda stuff are you hauling ?

Yep.
Apparently snow is as different across the world as fuel.
lol we usually have a wet snow which doesnt last long but slick and not good traction
when i spent time in maine their snow was a light powdery snow and would pack good and they would throw out sand and it was like driving on a uncovered road

BFGFTWMFERS
lol my buddy swear by them and on the suburban usually gets between 70 and 90 k miles out of them

Damn, I killed it.

Ok. Other tires are just as good in snow as bfg.
And other oils are just as good as Dominator
And other trucks are just as good as Chevy not really
lol
i may try bfg the next set though i rarely go off road

Well clutch adjustment turned into some body work. Some asehole got a lil carried away with the loader
what did you do slacker

Yep.
Bridgestone has ALWAYS been a Japanese-owned company. Their founder came to America and Firestone took him under his wing to teach him. He went back to Japan and named his company Bridgestone in respect for his mentor. They bought Firestone to save them after their quality went so low years ago. Goodyear and Firestone were the American mainstream innovators for years. Firestone was the first to put rubber pneumatic tires on a farm tractor for Allis Chalmers on the WC tractor.
when i worked at the rubber factory we custom mixed rubber for good year cooper and firestone/bridgestone after firestone had their problems
they was all a 2 pass mix and the cooper was almost a hard rubber before the curing pass
the goodyear was a softer compound natural rubber and looked like *s-word after the first pass almost burnt
the bridgestone /firestone looked like the better compound and alot less fillers such as carbon black

i spent 3 years and 3 months at that *s-word hole and the day i got laid off i laughed at them and told them they was doing me a favor
a month later i was working for the boilermakers

I didn’t really buy them for longevity, they just worked out that way. The first 2 sets only lasted 20k each. That was like 3 oil changes when it was new
the engine and plow setup on your truck is probably the hardest thing on your tires alot of weight up there
