How did you cook it?

On my Weber kettle, charcoal on the sides for indirect heat. Ran about 350 for 21/2 hours.

Kimbers are cool how they round all the corners for carry. The target II in 10mm is a hot rod of a pistol. But there are tons of mfg that make hundreds of variations of the 1911 you can do bolt ons for cheap. John Browning did an excellent job on a pistol that hasnt changed much in over a hundred years.

Personally no I know other's love them.
I bought mine in 96 425.00
Was a fair price
And has been problem free very accurate
Customer service sucks at least back then.
They went to 800.00+ in a couple year's.
Personally several friends bought lemons
Especially the exposed extractor versions.
One guy I heard about had the breech face cave in on a kimber compact
After a few dozen rounds
Slide was too soft.
I'm no expert but I know how good my springfield loaded .45 has held up to 30000+ rounds
And they've been improved since 96
And the reputation of original and cheaper than kimber colts and Dan wesson pistols are great.
I think kimber grew too fast and let quality slip imho
