I keep hearing all these tales about metal gas cans being “proper” for storing gas. I had a steel tool box for wrenches, screwdrivers, channel locks, stuff for work. Every time I opened it up the tools were damp. Within a year everything was rusty from condensation. My plastic tool boxes are dry inside so I use plastic gas cans. Maybe it’s just the humidity here. IdkAt least your gas doesn’t get scalding hot through metal gas cans in the summer
