Like I said before that's my favorite rimfire. I took out a coon with mine when I first got it. The entrance wound wasn't noticeable but the exit wound made me very excited. Hornady polymer tips are good stuff

Mines a Marlin model 917V.
Nothin fancy, but it does have the heavy barrel.

I replaced it with a 204ruger
