hows you MasterSlacker?
im ok coffee time

Pretty much sums it up. I've had a number of people tell me how common of a failure it is and the common factor is their source, the internet.
I know there are failures. I just think they are being blown out of proportion.
I bet 80% of the diesels I have on my hoists for whatever reason, the owner could easily get by with a 1/2ton. And I'm a firm believer in overkill when it comes to hauling a load. Nowadays they are nothing but a pecker extender...all so broseph can puff out his chest and say look at my super cool knobby swamp donkeys and pimp wheels that will never actually see dirt or haul anything substantial.

Its like the Cobalt ignition snafu. That car was targeted at a younger crowd. The bulk of which has enough *s-word hanging off the car key to tote around in a wheelbarrow. There is a reason when we did the recall when both sets of keys got turned back to the customer they had nothing on them but the key and remote fob.
theres a recall on my monte for the key switch they have been trying to get me bring in for the last 6 years or so
i am not worried about it as i only have the single key in the ignition
im not one who needs to carry a big wad of nothing in my pocket

Pisses me off. I kinda NEED a bigger truck to haul the loader. F 150 will do it, but its not safe to stop. Even with electric brakes. I mean, the loader itself weighs 8,000 lbs.
I cant afford a good used one because theyre either higher than a Giraffes arse, or some dickmuppet kid has lifted, programmered, or just generally *f-wordalated it.
a truck is meant to haul and pull a load not be someones grocery carrier or as the one picture showed ass dragger

Yep, people asking $15-20k+ for 10-15 year old 3/4 tons with 250k miles on them. I dont know if anyone is paying that much but I see them asking it all the time.

I will be in the market for a 3/4 ton in the near future, but I don't want to buy someone else's problems. I'm leaning towards a higher mileage 17+ base model F-250. Only options I "require" are 4WD and an 8ft bed. The 6.2L gasser is dead reliable, I saw a lot of them with over 250k+ miles on them during my brief stint in the Ford service department.
i just took the 1950 buck purchase yukon from wv to michigan and back i dont need fancy

If I move...gonna buy the place next to you. I’ll show ya how to OCD *s-wordt up around yo damn place!
you dont have the balls to move beside randy

for one reason youd get raided by gtg attendees

Is the site slow for anyone else? Its terrible for me.
at times it is
steve isnt doing his job

.204 is a tough little, flat-shootin’ round.
Yup. Its my egg busting caliber in competition. The eggs make a popping sound loud enough that it sound like a a 22 lr being shot a ways away from you.

That's called report and I like report. I use ar500 targets at 2 and 300 yds with my .308. The sound of 175g Sierra matchkings making contact should excite anyone

Nothing sounds better that that steel smack. The farther away the better. At 200 yards I can't hear the egg go because the 204 is so fast but 300 yards you can. Mines turned up pretty stout. 2 tenths over max and no over pressure signs. Pushing a 39 grain sierra around 4000 fps.

I have a plate rack I move with my kubota from 200 to 3 and 400 yards as needed. My plan is to have a rack at all three berms.

They take heaps of cattle whole the government *f-wordked up in the late 70s by stopping culling there are literally 10s of 1000s that size now ,Let alone all the 6ft ones .The rule of thumb up there is for every 1 you see 5 see you and that’s no BS .we lived up in Darwin for 2 years and went out on boats into serious crocodile territory and it’s scary if something happens on the boat if you don’t die in the water you’ll die on the land apart from humans they have no natural enemies.
Ten gauge slug for that salty. We have lil gaters here because swamp men keep them freshys in check. Your lizard huggers are fugged up! Feed the needy
There are class action lawsuits on everything these days. Maybe I'm wrong and they fail everywhere other than central Wisconsin. I can only speak on what I see each day. I've been at this shop since September of 1997.

The LML payed 30 hours last one I did to do head gaskets. That was removing the engine.
They have since revamped the warranty time to 20 hours and thats doing it in the truck.
I can do them in roughly 19-20 hours, so not much extra $$ made on my part there.

Now these oil burning 2.4's in Terrains and the equinox pay 13 hours to do pistons in them. Those I can make some money on.
Your under 10hrs?
If theres anything I can do, give me a shout.

I think its a combo of low tension piston rings and long oil change intervals.
The oil rings on every one of them are stuck tight to the ring lands and packed with carbon and oil sludge.
Fill up one with fuel and add a gallon of kerosene to the crank case and let it idol for a day maybe two. Been there done that with many vehicals and machines with hung rings and loaded with *s-wordt.
Isn't there an engine flush that would do the same thing?
See above.
Synthetic is too slick?
Smaller molecules with synthetic lubricants.
