dew was on and I drift started the tractor because the starter was out and couldn’t get the tractor stopped after starting
Went through a 4 strand fence and didn’t touch the bottom 2 strands

got it stopped in the hayfield but flat spotted the front rims
Bent the front axle down and back
And broke the mowing machine on the back
The axle had to be taken to a machine shop to get straightened

I bet that was a hell of a ride.

Nice going slacker.
Neighbor kid popped a wheelie on his dads rare JD 40. low production version with wide front and 3 point hitch. Low like a ford 2, 8, or 9N. Broke the casting that held the front axle on. It layed there with it's chin in the road. The dad, red faced and pissed.

So what your saying is, asian chicks make great implement seats?
Nothing like moving dirt and brush piles while thinking Arby's love you long time.

I rolled a Kubota over on its side once backfilling a basement. Guy who was watching said I did a cartwheel off the tractor, and was ten feet away before it stopped moving. I have no idea what I did. In times like that, I believe instinct kicks in, and we just do whatever our brain tells our body to do.

Morning All. Felt good to get a few hours extra sleep. Need to walk the dog and then putter around the house for a bit then off to visit my sister and BIL who are camping not so far away.

Would be nice if Elliott could get a lake swim in but weather doesn’t look to be our friend.

We had a case sc with hand clutch I got used to running it but boy does it mess with people looking for a foot clutch. Most recent tractor I had was a Allis wd but need to look at it now dad was at the shack brush hogging and motor locked up really idea why still full of oil and ran smooth right till it quit. Never smoked or used any noticeable oil amounts and changed it in spring with new filter .

This was just cheap horsepower to run some equipment till my JD is fixed. The guy really took good care of it too. I can keep it for a rake/bush hog tractor without feeling like I spent too much on it.

The 135 I had hurt my knees when my brother in law owned it. Back when I was 25 years younger. By the time I got it, using it all day was tough.
The 175 was a good tractor in it's day. Power was good and easy to work on.
The lift/draught was the weak point, when it was working it was great but when they wore out they were all but impossible to get fixed right.
The draught would hunt when cultivating or running a harrow shallow. The lift part would be good though.
You ain't doing no row cropping so it should be fine.

I may have the shop manuals for the 175 at the farm if the mice have not eaten them.
Ran a MF 165 for 14 years then got a JD 2355. Learned how to run a tractor on a 135 then a 185. Helped my uncle running one of his JD 4430s one season.

You are right on the clutch/brake working on the legs.

I had to rebuild the MF 165 seat to get it to work. The pivots had to be bushed etc.
Getting the seat higher should change the angle of your legs helping with the pain in the knees.
