I'm having some thoughts about what I should do with this thread. It's become a political thread almost completely. We might be able to set up a private password accessible section for it....but then we are just following what AS did for years. It became toxic....and caused hate between members. According to the poll...about 70% want it to become apolitical again. Either way.....we gotta do something.

Nobody's begging anybody to be here. I ignore the garbage, just like I have to in the "news". When I grew up, most folks kept their voting tendencies quiet or completely to themselves. Now people put stickers all over and treat their politics like it's their identity. It's Jim Jones level shït.

I'm really torn. The rule is scorched earth on politics, and it worked really well. But, everyone needs to remove their *f-wordìn panties from their ass crack every time their idols in D.C. are mentioned in a way that hurts their feelings. Seriously, not a single one of them are worth it.

This thread will have elements that are political, it is naive to think otherwise.

I come here because I like to hear what others have experienced, I do not come here because the thread should preferably be polished for all topics that may feel painful to some!
Taking away people's opinions is really the same as taking away the soul of the thread.

But, now the majority voted that there should be no politically in this thread, so they can stick to what they voted for.

I haven't voted and likely won't. I will "go along to get along". The greatest evil in modern society is the closed mind, assuming we know it all or only our way can be the right way is a danger. I know you are saying that to rile me up, I'm good with it. I know you like everyone has had good and bad experiences as you've travelled through Canada. I know your last feeler was frozen in the last Ice Age so I won't even take a shot about being older than Jesus...

Frankly I feel quote a kinship with Tennessee, especially today. With Winnipeg and Memphis both being named the Most Violent City in the Country title this year.

Dude, when we lose the right to tease and make fun of each other we have truly lost the game of life.

There is so much sharing and learning on all aspects of life in this thread that I will miss it if it goes but life will go on. I will always appreciate the WSM tips and sauce recipes that I have received and used.

I have been thinking quite a bit about it Randy, and to be honest, you have kicked over the hornets nest quite a few times lately, and then got frustrated with the ensuing banter. We are all fallible, and I think many follow your example. I like you a lot Randy, and I held my tongue when you did kick it thinking you have had a bad day or something. I think we can all stay apolitical as long as we all stay apolitical. That means none, and we will police it. @Woodpecker has done a great job, (he is the only mod i am sure is a mod), and when you say something that kicks over the nest, he is in a tough spot. Let's all live up to a standard, we are all adults. I have read things I absolutely did not agree with, but I let them go, as adults do.

Think of this a tough love. I like it here, great group of men. There is no place here for hypocrisy. Honesty yes. I hope we can continue to be friends, as this is not an admonition of you. I too will look to see ifni stay apolitical.
