Evening gentlemen. Feeling a little better. I think we both have bronchitis or some other crap now. Our PCP said symptoms are lasting 7-14 days with this crap. I was able to get up and do a few things today. Thought I would split some wood for the heck of it since it was nice here. Ended up scrapping that idea and letting my son buck some logs while I ran the mini X, lol. Hopefully it gets better as the week goes.

Late November through January there has been a version going on up here that’s lasting 3-5 weeks for some folks.

I had one of those Rockford Fosgate Milwaukee radios (with the roll cage around it) back in 2003 or something, good sound, and it worked great for the decade or so I had it.

Maybe I just got a few packout radio lemons, IDK? I know an electrician crew that had a few packout radios warranty'd also. They have a decent amount of 1 & 2 star reviews on the net. I never read any reviews until after I had mine. I really liked the sound thou, it pumped, with not much distortion when cranked up. My 1st one the charger function only worked 2-3 times, then it quit. It's supposed to charge a battery when plugged into the wall, which it did a few times, than it just stopped working. So I got a new one, 2nd one was fine for a few months, than the whole LCD screen went blank, the radio & AC jack for my MP3, still worked, just couldn't see any modes/functions on the screen. I forget what went wrong with the 3rd one I had? When it started giving me problems, I took it back for a store credit.

A Milwaukee rep at service center in Denver told me they had a decent amount of packout radios coming in for warranty. No clue if they were using cheaper components in them after the whole covid supply chain BS or what. But for $350 I expected years of use without problems, like other radios of theirs I've had. Rep said they would warranty it, or I could take it back to home depot. I took it back.

If I was gonna spend north of $300 for a work radio, I would get one of the bigger JBL BoomBox's. I work with a guy sometimes, that has one, it thumps. I don't even get my radio out when he's on the same job with me.

Blah, blah, blah....
I like my little JBL Flip5. I use that in my garage, in the house, even in the grader occasionally. Great sound from a small speaker setup.

Good afternoon guys,

The chimney specialist has been with us, he doesn't really agree with the fire inspector's assessment, so what's going to happen is that they will have to discuss, find a solution, while we wait for the final result.
The cheapest I can get away with is about $1000 in materials and labor, but if ceramic pipes need to be installed it could come out to $4000 + a new wood stove on top of that.

There are limits to what we are allowed to do ourselves.

That's it, now I'm going to have a cup of tea before bed.

The house is from the beginning of 1900, originally there was a bakery oven in the basement (all old houses in Norway had it), if ceramic pipes are installed, we will renovate it back.
Not because we will use it, just for the tradition the house was once built as.

I guess I will put a container outside, and empty most of the basement when I first have to.

The barn will unfortunately be postponed, quite logical when money is flying down the chimney.

Obviously not this year, but I plan to buy 592 xpg wrap, 36+ bar, and start sawmilling, mostly oak and pine.
I've wanted to for several years so I can get the most out of the forest I own.

Those are handy little speakers. Mine looks like crap, but it’s been a good one!
+3
Mines an Xtreme2 I think. Reckon even a grader wouldn't damage it.

I'd be looking for a band saw mill.
Glad to hear the boss is feeling better.
How long of a rehab does Glenda have to expect?
6 weeks of physical therapy.

6 weeks of physical therapy.
My neighbor has a band mill saw, that part is secured for logs that go through, I think he takes up to 70cm logs.
I have bottom logs that are larger, so the 592 is suitable for milling them.
+ we are thinking of making a mountain cabin at Kinnheia if my health holds up and the 592 does the job lol
