Howdy peeps! I spent my day doing something exactly opposite of what I normally do. I didn’t dismantle any trees today, instead I made some look pretty. lol.

Not sure if you are serious about that price but I just paid $8.99 for a 24 pack of Kirkland Cage Free eggs at the market that resells Costco stuff because there isn't one out here

If I had the room to deal with them a 5 dozen pack is a decent deal

I was being serious, I should've snapped a pic, but left my phone in the truck, they were out of eggs for over a week here at the local store.

As of 1-1-25, colorado can only sell cage free eggs now, not sure if that jacked the prices, or I heard on the radio about a shortage of eggs since a bunch of chickens had to be out down because of bird flue. One or the other, or combo of both.

I didn't win the nib 242 xpg auction, but I went as high as I could afford.
It went for right around $900, shipping and import would have brought it closer to $1200 for me.

As of 1-1-25, colorado can only sell cage free eggs now, not sure if that jacked the prices, or I heard on the radio about a shortage of eggs since a bunch of chickens had to be out down because of bird flue. One or the other, or combo of both.

There was an article in the Anchorage Daily News last week about how Alaskans are "more than happy" to pay a 30-50% premium for locally grown produce and other foods

I am not sure what "Alaskans" they are talking about that are "happy" to pay half again or more for "local" foods

I suspect it is the Triple Half Caf Mochafrappachino 119.6 degrees with a cinnamon sprinkle crowd, but it is most certainly NOT anyone in my family or social circle

I get really offended by people that charge outrageous prices for their handicrafts or whatever so they can "maintain their simple lifestyle"
