That's what I've seen. Cajun navy is awesome. Lots of people donating and helping. Government may have sent money but it's not really helping all the victims directly with housing. They have paid for hotels for some displaced people but there's not enough room for everyone. I really can fathom the idea of living in a tent in 0 degree weather.
I have a good friend that lives in Boone. He helped set up a bunch of modular homes for FEMA somewhere and they are still sitting empty. I’m not sure what the deal with that is. I’ve saw posts of similar situations. We have donated several heaters and propane to a friend that is taking another load over this weekend.

I have heard that and don't know why either. I haven't been up there but several people from church have been a few times. They say you have to see it to believe it.

Good morning guys,

I have a few plans today, cleaning the crankcase bearings (will take some time), polishing away scoring on a 242 KS cylinder (I only have one of them, rare type, and I'm not impressed with the original chamfering), also going to an auction for a holy grail chainsaw today.

I set up a savings account for a house pipe renovation. A lot of building costs I have to take on in the next few years, so that expense was not entirely according to my plans.

36 and raining here. I really wanted to be outside today. I need to get some stuff done. I only have one more Saturday before I have surgery, then I won't be able to use my right hand for three months.
What are you having cut on? I’d be screwed!

My wrist. All the cartlidge between the carpal bones is worn away, bone against bone with arthritis and calcium cysts built up in there. Hurts all the time. They are going to remove the largest bone and fuse the rest together. He says I'll lose 50% motion but will be pain free once it heals. Been dealing with it for 2 years. Keeps getting worse. Right now I've lost 40% motion and in pain. I've had injections in it for pain but it didn't help last time.

Sometimes you have to get out anyway. I decided a while back that if I have to work in all types of weather I wouldn't let it be the determining factor on how I spend my days off. I might sit and have an extra cup(or three) of coffee to get going though.

I've had to do it before. I've had 2 really bad flare ups of the calcium crystal deposits. Bad swelling and extreme pain. Couldn't use it all for a few days each time. Very difficult when eating, brushing teeth and using bathroom. Couldn't even open a pill bottle. I'll have a cast on it for 6 weeks then a brace for 6 more. Not looking forward to it.

Left at the crack of dawn for Merrill. We are finally celebrating Christmas with my moms side of the family. First time in about a decade that almost everyone has been together. There will be some tension. I'll be out in my shed most of the day tho. I'm the first arrival. My parents were still asleep when I left lol.
