Had a whirlygig PTO rake climb the back of the tractor when the arm got caught in the AG lugs in a tight turn one time...limiting chains with turnbuckles are your friend!
I built a limiting system using 3/4" turnbuckles. They can still swing out into the tires though. I need to see if I can add limiting chains to stop that, but some of my implements are rather wide, and I might end up creating a new problem.

I tried several different things before I did the turnbuckle thing. Getting them to pivot up and down with the lift arms was the biggest problem I had. This works pretty well, as long as I keep something hooked up.

I have a chain with two hooks on it i us to strap my lift arms when I don't have something on the arms. Same problem. I have limiters to steady the implement, outside to the arms. Does nothing when nothing is on them.

Went out to work on stuff in the garage, and the furnace isn't working properly. It starts when cold fine, but when it's calling for heat again igniter keeps going till timeout, then when the new cycle starts furnace fires properly.

All this fuss to work on chainsaws !

I'm going to tinker on this when this rain moves out. When I welded the plates on the lift arms for the turnbuckles, I didn't take the time to round off the corners, so anytime they get into my tires, it is concerning.

I just ordered a bunch of black hills spruce and Colorado blue spruce seedlings for this spring.
On the Colorado Blue Spruce, I hope you get better results than we do here. Max life expectancy is 30-35 years here, and most don’t make it that long.

Where did you get the seedlings from? Fairly reasonable?

I have the same question

We have been getting seedlings from them for years. Prices have gone up like everything else but they are competitive with most any others I've found. Plus, they are right here in Neilsville WI. If you get going you can still get a discount if ordered before the 31st plus another discount if paid by cash, check or money order.

If they make it 30 years, I will be 77 and not really caring.
Fir trees are a total mutha to grow around my area. I'm assuming it's the soil. We planted 500 at my parents. I think there's 3 that made it.
We planted 100 blue spruce and probably 75 are still going.
