So....my daughter called this morning. Alternator went out. Went and got a trailer, drove to Cookeville, got her car. Hauled it home, took off the alternator, then went and got a new one, and picked her up at work....just got home.

Come to find out a lady I wave to every morning that's a crossing guard at a bus stop for young kids jumped off it..

I have an old Williams B-52 3/8" ratchet that is skipping/ stripped. Sending it to Williams in hopes they can rebuild it. The rebuild kits show up once in a while on ebay but are discontinued. Mine looks like this one.View attachment 441924

I have $10 that says, you get a B-52A in return. B-52A is the Snap-on redesigned version of the original B-52 Superratchet. Williams went belly up in the late 1980's, when Snap-on acquired Williams in 1993, they redesigned the ratchets, and the rebuild kits are now completely different.

14-15 years ago I sent in a B-52 to get rebuilt under warranty, I received a B-52A in return and a note saying something to the effect they discontinued B-52 years ago, here's it's modern day replacement. B-52A is a OK ratchet, not as stout as a B-52 thou. B-52 is dual pawl, B-52A is single pawl and just feels cheaper overall.

$10 says this is what you will get in return.

Got the replacement ratchet in the mail today. You were right - they sent a B-52a 72 tooth ratchet.

I grew immune to death a long time ago.

This one threw me off, she was a nice ass lady, always waved and said Hi everytime I saw her..really friendly...I don't get this one.
