Good morning boys,
I went back to the garage that fixed my toy truck yesterday
The guy said I thought you were happy with it when you left last time.
I replied, I was happy you fixed the things wrong with it last time but when I signed the paperwork, I said to the guy on the desk… I guess I will be back again.
And here I am.
When you let the battery go flat, someone removed the plastic cover and lost i/never put it back . Now all these positive connections are exposed.
The hard top rubber gasket both front corners are folded in and now let in water.
The chrome bumper is loose, the bolts are tight but the washers still rotate and that’s why the bump is loose, oh and the ones at each end on the underside are not even there. They were never fitted.
The wires underneath are not particularly fitted back correctly, ie some are loose and swinging around.
I also said to the guy, what you have to remember is, I’ve had this all apart only a yr ago as I had to replace the rear tub. So I know how it should be put back together.. I put it back properly, the same as it came out of the factory.
And look it the rear light, look at the gap. That shouldn’t be like that. I will tell you why it’s like it is. I had to look on the other side to see how it should be fixed . As the bobble headed bolts were on the tub when I got it.
One must have got broken when the truck hit the back and when one of your guys put it all back together he’s just used a bit of body filler to hold them in place
and didn’t use a nut on the back.
The guy (workshop manager) said we wouldn’t do this.
I replied in an angry voice, I can absolutely assure you that one of your guys has done this, but I doubt he will actually admit it.
Anyways. He agreed that they would fix it. So I have to book it in for 2days.
This is the bobble bolts (eBay pic) I,m not sure if the nuts are fixed on the the body panel or just loose nuts
This is where they should be bolted and not use body filler to the new panel they fitted. The top bolt is actually broken (no thread left)
The battery cover missing
and the front rubber seal folded underneath on both sides
I’ve not added any bumper or loose wiring pics
you can understand my frustration when the job cost £6.5k ($7k)
