440's are a blast in the twisty's, because of how light they are and easy to throw around.

Doo used to make a fan 440, and a liquid 440 in the 90's. The fanner was noticeably lighter then the liquid version, IIRC it was around a 40-50 lb difference, which is pretty noticeable. Those fanners were such a blast on a single digit or sub-zero day, in the twisty's you could really throw them around, out on a lake they would get smoked, back in the woods you'd pass about everyone again.

I still have a doo mxz 440, thou I have put stickers on it, in 7-8 years. Fun sled thou for the tight stuff.

I looked up the specs.

'98 doo mxz 440 liquid cooled dry weight, 440 lbs.

'98 doo mxz 440 fanner dry weight 380 lbs.

I had a mxz 440 fanner winter of 97-98, it was a light weight blast in the woods.

I also had a Mach Z 800 that winter, dry weight of almost 570 lbs, it was fun on the lakes & rivers, or wide open logging roads, or ole railroad beds, up in the UP, it sucked in the twisty's. I'd take my 440 fanner any day if we were going to stay in the twisty's.

Loved that show

The boss even has a collectors edition of tapes or CDs with funky sleeping bag covers for the boxes or something like that
I love that show too. My wife and I just finished all 6 seasons back in June. Holling always wears the best flannel shirts - I’m jealous.

Nonsense! Arctic Cat way way ahead in Cross Country and SnoCross racing from ‘93-‘03 until the Rev Chassis came out from Ski-Doo.. In all honesty, IF I was going to buy a new sled tomorrow, it would be an MXZ-X 600.

Nonsesne, Toni Haikonen had a lot of 1st place trophys on F-chassis & S-chassis Ski Doo's in the 90's. He won the gold metal in 1998 at the inaugural snocross ESPN Winter X Games on a S-chassis Ski Doo.

I was looking at a mxz f/c, 🤔 hmm.
My current ride is a '78 T'nT 440f/c 😊

I rode a Safari 377 as a kid. Those were bulletproof engines. I wouldn’t mind finding a 97-98 Formula 380 (same engine) for my boys to rip around on.

When my wife and I got married, she had a Formula Deluxe 500. I’ve always liked the Ski-Doo sleds too. But Arctic Cats were my jam.

The Flyin Finn was a force to beat, that’s for sure. 1W if I remember correctly? He really made use of those new chassis back in 96..

What symptoms did he have? Any ticks on him? Had a dog get “tick paralysis” before.
He started gacking like he was gonna puke. That got me right outta bed. I tried rushing him to get downstairs and outside. He was stumbling around like his right legs weren't working.....and when he got to the stairs he laid down, refusing to budge. I reached down to pet him, and he recoiled like he was afraid of my hand.....and I don't hit him. He laid there for about an hour or so, then stumbled back into the bedroom to his mat. A few times he got up, stumbling around, walking in a circle, then flopping back on his mat. About 0700 I carried him downstairs.
