"The trendy shoe retailer also noted it would focus more of its operations at factory bases in Brazil, Mexico, Vietnam and Cambodia."

Steve, I think this very much matches some of what I said the other day. I don't see any indication that this is better for America, just less business in China.
noone gives a *f-word about china economy
your business may coddle the balls of china but there are plenty of americans or other countries that dont *f-word up quality like china does

I would think they have statistics on how many jobs came home during his last term.

I'm out of work, a trade war affects me less than it does to working people, I think some people greatly underestimate the Chinese about what they almost have a monopoly on in production.

It will be exciting to see how the distribution will be to the people with the extra income the US gets with the tariffs, something tells me it will be a lot for those who already have a lot, and a small slice of bread for the working people!

I don't give a F about China, just stating that the move by Madden to move footwear production to those other nations does nothing for the US economy. No increase in US jobs or manufacturing, in fact if you collect lower tariffs it is actually a loss to the US economy.

Is the goal to hurt China or make the US a better place? If the former this is a success, if the latter an outright fail.

In the lighting and electrical industry, there have been more production issues out of Vietnam, Philippines and India than China. Expect those countries to have quality on par with China 20 years ago. There will be a great economic boon and growth of middle class in those nations as there has been in China, still off the backs of the US Middle Class.
