Need some advice, having a little get together next week, expecting about 60 people and want to do some pulled pork. How many pounds of pork butt should I start with?

A sandwich is usually about 1/4lb of pork. Figure 40% weight loss to trimming/bone/cooking. I figure ~10% of people won't/can't eat because of preference or dietary restrictions. Probably double that for the weenies up there. Just some numbers to think about. Will this be the primary protein or is there more? How good will the pork be? These things matter. Unrelated, but ~30 people can make 38lbs starting weight of waygu brisket disappear in short order, and we had a LOT of food.

Good morning guys, happy Friday. I'll find out later tonight if it's a fungus Friday.
@cuinrearview 's suggestion seems a good ballpark idea. How empty is the freezer for leftovers?

Are people bringing side dishes to go with your Pork, and how much drinking is going on? How long is this shin-dig planning to last ? More than a hour or 2 the return feeders will very likely be doing some snackin'

Good morning ladies,

I was going to have a new tire tube in the old Ford, ended up with me delivering it for sandblasting and a layer of zinc, if they have white it will be white too.
Since they do it for free, I helped carry out some other sandbags for an old work colleague there.
My physical work for the day.

I figure 1/2 lb uncooked weight per person.

Four ~10lb butts felt about right to me, but I always do extra, even if I'm just cooking for us at home. Leftover pulled pork vac seals/freezes so well for quesadillas/sandwiches/chili etc later that I always like to have some around.

If you get bored
I've never been to Illinois but i have been watching this wild story
I have no idea how in this day and age
This could happen.
She went into office in 2022 with over 5 million in funding
3.5 million in debt now.
Politicians mis-handling public funds is nothing new

I always do extra too. Like you said, it keeps very well.

Morning /Evening All. Happy FriYAY!!!

Thanks @John Wargo , @cuinrearview , @stihl livin ,@Mastermind and others for their advise. I will see what I come up with but at least 40lbs precooked is where I will start.

Tim, while in the mindset, could you re-share the vinegar sauce recipe you have shared before? That stuff is good!!!
