I took the advice I received here and launched it on my own. Played hooky from work and went for an hour or so cruise. It’s going to be fun.

It's a jet ay?
They don't turn on closed throttle, only when on the gas.

You'll thank me for that tidbit at some point.

Did you wear your banana hammock to let the ladies of Manitoba know what they’re in for this summer?

Good evening folks.

Do any of you have any experience with Carter/Edelbrock carburetors going from 30’ elevation to say 12,000’ elevation? How big of a deal is it to figure out and change jets?
That would be an extreme change. I'd have no idea how small to jet that.

10-fo I didnt know if there was an old school rule of thumb. Figured id ask. Ill give Edelbrock a call Monday.

Ive thought about Fitech or Holly Dominator setup so I can shut the hood and forget it. But cost is a factor.

Roger that

I had a Carter AFB on my old Landcruiser, 45 or so years ago and I was forever tinkering with jets and metering rods and stuff

I doubt I ever got the full potential out of it

Should have left the Holley on it

Actually should have left it stock

They’ve done some pretty spectacular engineering on these. It even has reverse and a “brake”. Pretty incredible handling over all. Drives and steers just like a PWC.
