One more thing: the Mississippi River is 3.1 feet above flood stage, and the only time is was higher at Winona was 3.2 above back in 1910…

We have started running a metal detector over our logs before we run them through the bandsaw mill. We hit a piece of threaded rod last year... someone had tried to bolt their tree back together.

Good Morning / Evening All. A dry morning for a change and out we went, now if it can stay this way all day, I might get some lawn mowed tonight.

We have started running a metal detector over our logs before we run them through the bandsaw mill. We hit a piece of threaded rod last year... someone had tried to bolt their tree back together.

Ooof… that would be total destruction. I may have to get a detector. The nice thing with a radial mill is they can eat quite a few nails before the cutting slows down. If it is real bad, I can just swap teeth out.
