A lot of little things. Needs a fan shroud. The exhaust system is leaky. Power steering pump needs the mounts repaired. Winch fairlead has to be mounted. Etc....etc....

Dang the HEI is good if built properly.
I think i still have 1 or2 built that we used in the racecar.
Real bearings and a good stable advance curve.
Chevy used to have an upgraded chip for them that worked up to 7k
Magsrus , Mags r us built a good one years ago as well as racing mags. He also had a good chip for the 1 wire HEI

Jacobs racing wires were a good source for make yourself wires.

Now you know as much as i do, consider yourself special.

Sitting at 82 tonight. It’s really climbed this week, I wanna say it was 76 last night.

I think i still have 1 or2 built that we used in the racecar.

When the bushings are true and snug they don't spark scatter and keep a good strong spark.
The brain/chip is the trick. Depending on intended RPM you can use one of three GM chips
Aftermarket chips were a gamble but i would think they would be better compared to the ones from 20+ years ago.
