We have rain. Plenty of rain...

A friend called me yesterday afternoon with about 60 bales yet to go, and a baler that wasn't doing so well. My tractor is apart waiting for some square cut orings, so I couldn't help. I'd imagine that hay is ruined.

Probably a failed lifter in the displacement-on-demand setup. Pushrod jumps out of the lifter cup and then lifts the valve way too much, valve meets piston and it gets ugly from there. I know 5 people who have had that happen personally

Interesting.
I have never seen that.
I've had failed lifters and bent pushrods.
I've had cylinders drop a valve but that was due to a broken valve spring breaking at a point it lost all tension on the valve.
The GM pushrod V8's are a non interference engine.

I will have to see if my coworker still has pictures.
He needed a whole longblock at 5900 miles

Wife frustrated with the birds picking through the feeder for their favorite part. Dusted off my nonexistent carpentry skills to solve her problem. This is the extent of my abilities with cellulose materials.20240602_160025.jpg20240602_160230.jpg20240602_160008.jpg

Good (Monday) morning Adam.

It’s just about my bed time (Sunday)

Btw my fugging car ignition got fugged up again, different problem from last time. Still 2.5hrs wasted.👎

But on the bright side, it works at the mo. And I’ve got another on order 👍
It be probably another 2hrs fixing it ( getting quite quick now, 3rd time 🙄)

Good afternoon ladies,

the diesel pump is out of the tractor, will head for service tomorrow.
I wouldn't have done this so well if it hadn't been for all the tips @timg gave me.
Glad you got it off in time @Tor R
I just gave a couple tips. You did all the work sir. Glad it is working out for you. Now back to stretching, exercising, and burning calories LOL.

IMG_0796.jpegEvening boys. Was a titty bit hungover from last night’s vodka fest but managed to get the Arctic Crap torn apart again. Bad seal 🦭 behind the primary.
I ordered parts a couple weeks ago but apparently not enough. More stuff on the way. Also figured out the one bar that was in the way last time is removable. How the fuçk I didn’t see that I’ll never know. 🤦🏻‍♂️
