If you pud pounders were to buy a chain grinder that's does a decent job but won't cost a *f-wordton of greenbacks, what would you buy?

I've got a bunch of jacked up chains and some I were able to file back into shape. 1 just ground one on my pos grinder and the cutters are visibly different length now and the bish just spits powder... I kinda want to blow the fuggin thing up. I've been getting my aśs handed to me with chain sharpening lately.
If it’s just spitting powder while cutting after a fresh sharpening, chances are your depth gauges, or rakers as they are also known, are too tall, and the cutting teeth aren’t actually engaging the wood. Take 2-3 strokes off each raker with a flat file/mill bastard and test.

They look the same but they’re most definitely not.

You could try better wheels?? Not sure what you have now but the cheap wheels suck balls.
The cheap ball sucking ones.
what do you have now

pictures dammit
It's a piece of shìt one. You'll just have to wait until morning for pictures

They are already well under my .025 guage.
I'd venture they are probably. 035

My biggest complaint I guess is the head has a bit of slop and the backstop for the cutter is the flimsiest fuggin thing I've ever seen. I swear a damn ant could bent the sumbitch in half with minimal effort.

Do you know what angles you are using Ed? I use 30 degree top plate and 50 degree side plate. Gives a decent hook but still holds up in hardwood.

I was using 55/25. I got those from a post on here, don't recall who anymore though.
It can tilt 10 but I don't.

I can hit it one with a 50/30 and see if I can make it cut tomorrow.

10-4…not to beat a dead horse but try dressing your wheel as well it makes a difference.

He was asking about a chain grinder.

Not about you & Jason's Grindr collaboration reunion tour....
im beginning to think you lured jason to your house by beef and chicken pictures lol
See, that’s the thing

On this particular thread you read the word “chain” and my mind instantly goes to ball gags and whips

What…
so now you admit what you did to your wife ?

or she would beat you if she saw what you type lol

I'll get you some pics in the morning.

Owner of the dealership just called me.
My service manager passed away. Cancer.
It's a mixed thing..worked with him for almost 30 years. He also really wasn't a very good person, he generally didn't treat others well.
Still, it does suck.

Morning fellas

14 below and breezy

The boss is getting better each day

The drain has almost cleared up

They did a swallowing study and her epiglottis is not closing properly so she is still choking easily but they are letting her have soft foods

It's possible she might come home today

The surgeon saw her yesterday and was very pleased with the results

She’s not getting much sleep but that’s typical for a hospital

Carry on
Good to hear that Michael. Gonna keep up the prayers though.
