10,000 miles ago I had it in with crankshaft to camshaft correlation codes, chains rattling and flopping..so, I replaced all that stuff.

Last week, gets towed in. Same thing. Plus no oil in the engine, rear crank seal blown out. And it was still on the same oil/filter that I put in 10k ago..

Gave the guy options of fixing it, but not knowing what the bearings looked like, a total overhaul or replacement. He opted to replace.

People's lack of care and maintenance keeps my bills paid.

Found the wiggle in my center bushings: lower one has a cracked housing, and play between the sphere and the race. Pin was also just slightly stepped. Upper was good, but I’m putting in both pins and bushings.

Off to the parts house now for all the shiny stuff!

It's actually a VW one they sent when we had that franchise. We kept it when we sold the line.
