Unless you have a pile of these lil 026’s with no money in em its not worth it to rebuild em i think...

Theres a whole bunch of em in good shape in the classifieds around 250 range. Hell the 024’s @Mastermind sold a while back were mint and they were less than 300. An OEM topend is 186 on fleabay. Anyways thats my bitatch for the day...

Nobody wants them unless you have a door that won't stay open. Sorry to bear the bad news.

Well this is frustrating. The piston and cylinder I have will not work on this saw. The piston hits the cylinder on top of its stroke. Any ideas?

Grind the top of the piston off

I like my 026’s. They fire right up and are light. I normally keep one in the ranger for trimming limbs on the trails. They just aint worth the cost of new parts to fix em.

Possibly, hell i like Kennys idea but would need to be a spacer gasket i believe stacked would eventually blow out. Im just goin to see what the seller will do for me. Im moving on to next saw and put this one to the side.

I rebuilt one for a guy meteor piston kit
With oem everything else except
No bearing change.
He was only pissed the 16" bar and chain cost like 85.00 he wanted
Everything else was 60 or so dollars.

I kid. I like the slender chassis and the sound.

You would have to be able to shoot it first........just sayin' :eusa_whistle:
I watched a 40+ season deer hunter
Rack all the shells out of winchester
30/30 convinced he'd shot and missed a 10 point buck
He hadn't fired a shot he had buck fever I guess.
I couldn't imagine what it'd be like to shoot at rampaging mountain lion
I guess I'd say *f-word you like that guy did.

Did it burn in the fire?
yes

Same reason Mr Ray could have a full time job sending them to people.
Who’s that
And don’t feel bad I spent almost 100 bucks for a service manual for my tractor

@dall
Can you run the 024 or 024S jug on an 026 case with an extra base gasket installed?
Not sure

Got a load of chit firewood yesterday and parked it under the shed roof. Just going to take it out as needed. Good enough for burning now and will help make sure that there is enough for winter. Rained today and wood stayed nice and dry. :)

Daughter took her oil-burning Equinox in to the dealer. 80k on the clock. They’re doing an oil analysis on it where she brings it in every 1000 miles for them to check consumption. Might have to check it more often as I don’t think she can go 1000 without adding to it. Apparently there’s a 100k transferable warranty on it
Damn near 2 stroke with that oil consumption.
