Good luck! And keep on the level. An interview is just as much an avenue for you to ask them questions as it is for them to ask you questions.

Well good luck Gary, hope something positive comes out of it whether you stay where you are or not. People with skills are in the driver's seat right now.

Are there any industries that are "not" having trouble finding willing, capable people?

Yes. This.

Good luck Gary !!!!!

Thanks all. The positive vibes must have helped, it wasn't so much an interview as a "What will it take to join our team conversation". Definitely a long way from saying yes but the discussion was of a position one maybe two levels than I was expecting. Probably a lot more travel than I am interested in but will wait and see what the proposal is.

If nothing else, will allow me to leverage some change and $$ from the current.

Possibly, not something I applied for but they seem interested in my skill set and appear to be creating space in the organization for me. My interview today is with someone in Austria that, was in NA and flew in to Winnipeg to have lunch with me earlier this fall. Job likely takes me away from home more than I want but I will listen to what they say and if nothing else leverage the conversation to speed up the discussed changes at the current.
Good luck

Morning, a delay on coffee today

The boss had just asked me last night if the grill was going to be OK in the wind

I told her it was fine, it weighed 125 pounds and it wasn't going anywhere

Moar coffee

Jason has about 48 brand new ones just sitting in his garage. Maybe he can send you one.

Yet the damn cover stayed on. Slightest breeze and I am chasing mine all over.

Yup, and I said "it might shred the cover but the grill will be fine"

It's not the possible damage and loss so much as it is being WRONG...

I can't even get it flipped back up without help so I got the doors closed and got it face down and slid it over to where it lives next to the house and I will figure something out later when my son is around

Oh well

I guess I was late wishing you good luck and I am glad you had a good outcome on your meeting

I hope you can spin it into something that benefits and improves things for you

I've got a real nice grill in the barn that someone let blow over and wrecked the doors and stuff on. They gave it away afterward. I was glad to have it, as it works like a new grill.....

I think it will mostly be okay, it landed in snow and the doors shut ok, I am sure the heavy ass grates and burner covers are all jumbled up inside but I am hoping any damage will just be cosmetic

I tried to get the cement guys to pour a walkway from the patio around to meet the stoop they poured at the garage man door so I could roll it in and out of the garage, but they didn't want to pour concrete over the line to the septic tank

Sounded like a weak excuse to me but whatever

I think when we get the fence around the patio it will help a lot although for now I probably better set a couple of eye bolts in the concrete patio and ratchet strap the grill down

I was more worried about the new shed because we had a storm a year ago that picked up sheds from the lot of a shed company and blew them across the 4 lane highway

The storm ripped the front door and frame completely out of our house that was under construction and ripped all the OSB sheets off the garage openings and filled the house with snow
