Took my dad a couple of tries before quitting actually stuck. I was a youngster back then and now realize how hard and how much work stopping was for him.
It was tough for me. Glenda and I almost got divorced that first year.

Saw this, this morning, and knew you guys would appreciate it: a Ford Ranger with those dang ol’ tow mirrors! I think they double the width of the truck! View attachment 397682
He’s saying that he wants a dodge but he doesn’t have the money for a broken down junker

When we lived in the mountains of Northern New Mexico we liked to visit the Durango Colorado area and we would either drive or take the narrow gauge train up to Silverton which is at 9,000 plus feet elevation

We would be fine but the flatland tourists who got off the train would go tearing out to see the sights and get 100 yds before they were out of oxygen and looking for somewhere to collapse

It wasn’t funny but it was funny
Had a similar experience when I was in Lake Tahoe in September, once off the gondola at the top of the mountain climbing a flight of stairs really takes the wind out of you. (Live at 730ft above sea level).

Well you do have girlie trucks with sheep on them
You know what I’m saying

Dodge, or get Rammed 😁

Independent suspension is for girls😘. Talking to the geothermal head honcho the other day, they can’t keep front ends in their 1 ton Chevys due to rough roads. Solid axle with links and coils is where I draw the line, at least it rides decent. Prefer axles and leaf springs.

That big dune I recovered that rolled exploder from the other day…I saw a guy rip a whole front wheel off the front in the whoops at the bottom once.

I almost never have to work on my Cummins engines, and when I do, they are easy to work on, so maybe there’s something to that.

I will admit I like dmax power and smoothness…when I’m in the mood for smooth.

So I guess a Dmax with a SAS would suit me…til the body rattles apart…like a dodge…so Ford it is! If they could get their power plants straight.

Morning men, 2 degrees and we are under a severe weather warning for winds 55-70 mph causing ground blizzards and whiteouts. The winds are already pretty fierce and building. Unfortunately I gotta take my son to some appointments this morning

Have a good day

Good morning fellas. Light shot of rain this morning. Boys recovered well yesterday so off to school they go today. 2 day week for them.. I got some fixin to do. Winch brake wouldn’t hold the load when I skid that first tree out on Friday - it’s spring actuated and I’m fairly certain the spring is broken. Won’t know for sure until I get the brake cylinder apart. Hydraulic pressure releases the spring for both winch-in and free spool. Whenever I release the lever after winching in, the brake is slow to come on and the tree drops to the ground.
Bee keerful

Good morning *s-wordheads.
Did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed, or just a little to early?
So....today is my clean date. 18 years clean and sober today. Wow.
Big Congrats Randy.
It's kinda funny as to how many additional hours and days you have, when ya aren't putting so much time into some of those altered states pastimes.
