My area never flooded but it did rain a few inches last night and the thunder clapped and cracked all night, kept me up all throughout the night, power went off and on 15 times, was sure my house got hit by lightning as I heard weird sounds. The rumbles rattled the stove and plates in the kitchen

Didn’t end up getting that 1 ton 3500. A little too far gone for my liking and the final straw was the rear diff pissing from the pinion seal and multiple engine oil drips just from being parked for 15 mins.
Might go look at a Ford F-350 dually 1979… 351m engine some time this week.

It ain’t easy finding a 1 ton dump truck
That might be a decent unit. 351M isnt my favorite motor, but it WILL run.
361/391 FE motors are better in the older units, but body and chassis will be beat to chit.
If you can find a Chebby with a 365 industrial, those are also tough as fukk, but same problem with the rest of it being beat to hell.

Mahindra doesn’t have a very good reputation
One guy near me traded his in
25 hours on it and as you said front end issues
His was making a noise and he only mowed with it
A buddy’s dad has a 35/40 hp one and it might have 1000 hours on it now and it is on its last leg transmission issues
He had me to rebuild the backhoe stabilizer cylinders and mahindra couldn’t get him the right parts even though he bought it there
They had the serial number for tractor and backhoe and the stuff they gave him was not right
I ended up taking the pieces to a hydraulic shop
So mahindra isn’t a tractor company I’d be buying
Best to take a loss and find something different
Agreed.
Habib just wants to sell tractors.
They are very popular in India.
Those folks can fix damn near anything with damn near nothing.
They expect you to figure out how to fix it.
Thats what they do over there.
Its not a Chebby with a *s-wordton of spare parts available.
Its a DIY brand that those folks are used to fixing themselves without Much dealer support when they break.
