Damn slackers
Done at hospital for this time lol
Time to go home and slack
They say double knee replacement is a mf'r...next go 'round you should invest in a quality pair of knee pads. Just a lil' food for thought. You'll be back in the Facial Express Lane in no time...

Here's a little interesting tidbit for you boys and girls...your Air Force is in collaboration with Rolls Royce (obviously a multi-billion dollar contract will ensue), for the eight replacement engines (four dual engine pods per a/c), on the entire fleet of B-52 Stratofortress long-range bombers. These Rolls Royce F130 dual pod engines have been in testing for some time now over at the NASA Stennis Space Center in Mississippi....part of extending the service life of the B-52's capabilities into the 2050's....mind you they entered operational service in 1955.

Who'd have thunk a damn centennial strategic bomber...testament to just how bad-ass these B-52's truly are. We see one or two on occasion here at Robins for refueling then they get gone fairly quick afterwards. On occasion if one has an IFE it'll stick around until the issue(s) get handled, but that's a rare occasion...they're a pretty damn solid, heavily updated aircraft.

Did have a few A-10 Warthogs and a couple of F-35's touch down earlier in the week, never heard as to why, and they were gone a few hours later.

There's yer aircraft update for the week.
Growing up we used to see the ones from Grand Forks ND up here fairly often. The airport was built to spec to allow then to take off and land here in the even that the home base got bombed out.

Can’t think of the last time I saw one here, has to be pre 91 when the Cold War ended.

I always thought it was kind of insane that they are still relevant considering how old they are. For what it would cost to build a few more B2s they can probably retrofit and modernize the entire B52 fleet.

B-52's were stationed here at Robins AFB where I'm from and work, from 1961 to 1983 as part of SAC (Strategic Air Command). Dime a dozen seeing 'em fly 24-7 back in those days.

Let me ask you engine aficionados something...

I have a chance to pick up a real clean, fully loaded 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 with the 4.0L I6 in it, for a crazy price. From what I understand but haven't had time to read a whole lot, Jeeps' 4.0 in-line 6 was one of the best engines around back in its' day. It has right at 200K miles on it, doesn't leak a single drop of fluid and been babied the last several years. It runs out, drives, shifts fine, 4x4 Selec-Trac (I think it is vice Quad-Trac 4x4 system) works fine. The only problem it's ever had was a power window motor failed on a rear window, and the decision was made to replace all four with factory OEM motors about six years ago (was a known problem with these window motors). The Jeep was involved in a little fender bender several years back and only damaged the front driver side headlight, headlight assembly mount, and slight/little quarter panel damage, and was repaired/re-painted, etc and good to go.

Any input would be appreciated.

Edit - any and all maintenance ever done to this thing...oil changes, trans fluid changes, brakes, etc, etc, etc records are all there as well. Vehicle is a one-owner bought new back in '02.
My Cherokee is at 215000. Just put fresh tires on the old girl today. I plan to run it to 300,000 or until the body rots beyond repair. The 4.0 is pretty much bulletproof. Might wanna change the crank position sensor if it hasn't been done recently (only use oem Mopar). When that goes you're dead in the water.

Can we still talk about chainsaws in here?🤷‍♂️

Built a 357 the other day after a too long break from the hobby.
Left the sealed bearing grease in my de-sealed bearings as per usual. No one died.
