Went to a local auction this morning to preview what was being sold.

Sale bill said "Something for everyone" 50 plus years of collecting.

I know the seller through a round about way. I've also been to many auctions from the auctioneer.

I looked around did not see anything I was interested in. I was heading for my truck to leave.

Auctioneer & owner are standing near by shooting the breeze. They both asked me, see anything you can't live without?

Me - Any stihl chainsaws?

Them - Nope

Me - Any 1940-50's Dodge trucks or parts of them?

Them - Nope

Me - So much for having, something for everyone...

Everyone laughed and I left.

Congrats on your successful retirement Adam, even managed to not get hurt. Good job. Did you get to keep the peacock?
Ta.
Yeah just the normal soccer stuff to deal with this week, bruised toe nails and a friendly fire kick to the midriff hip area.

Peacock went to our goalie, who very nearly saved the penalty that would have given us another chance.

Saw a spike buck (in pic) and another buck that definitely would have been a wall hanger. Unfortunately I'd have to have taken @dall advice and cut down every tree in my woods for a shot at him.

Didn't even see a squirrel this afternoon. Just snow flurries.

My buddy saw this guy in his yard this morning

My eyes are going to chit. Had to blow it up to spot him out there, but once I did I could see him when I reduced it back down.
I used to be able to spot one 400 yards off in a thicket while driving down the road at 65.:(

Seems like you need to break out the "long bow". When does your rifle season open?
Ours opened the third weekend in October, and runs into January.
