Just depends Ray which squadrons, if any, get deployed. I think as of 2020 timeframe, the USAF had about 360, give or take a few, A-10 aircraft in service. That number compromises active duty, reserve, National Guard, etc aircraft. As far as squadron numbers, I think most keep 15-20 aircraft per squadron, but I’m sure that’s dependent on whether they’re active, reserve, National guard units. We don’t have A-10’s stationed here at Robins so I’m just winging the numbers I’m giving you off the top of my head as best I remember. We do see quite a bit of A-10 traffic at times here, but most all is simply re-fueling and they’re gone soon after, unless one has an IFE (In-Flight Emergency), and could possibly be grounded for days or weeks until airworthy again.
