Yeah I always root against the giant multinational breweries. My guess is that if I cared to do some digging, I might find that yuengling has been paying another brewery to contract brew for them for awhile much like Pabst.
Probably. Typical America nowadays...

I sincerely hope that all stays well on the job front
And I hope something opens up on your end Todd. Youve worked all these years with your hands, much as I have. Seems like there would be more respect for that, but there isn't here. Craftsmen and SKILLED tradesmen are getting to be a dying breed, at least here.

I think in 20 years manual labour will almost be a thing of the past:(

I'll take "nope" for 300 Alex.
They can say what they want to about your feets Brad, but I bet it takes a wheelbarrow to carry your sack around.
I aint scared of heights at all, but thats a bit more than I'm willing to trust mother nature.

This was yesterday. My tie in point was in 3" diameter Norway maple. Almost completely suspended from the rope. I'm meticulous about checking the rope before every climb.20200916_121012.jpg

Hey @DuratecMan10 looks like your beloved yuengling will be brewed by molson/Coors moving forward... Not so 'Murican anymore
Bummer. Another one bites the dust. Best thing a beer lover can do to support local business and the art of brewing is look for this on the label.download.png

Morning Todd. Went pretty gooder. Spent the last 2 days doing technical pruning. Was thirty feet out on some limbs in this 70 year old 36+" black walnut today.View attachment 258970 View attachment 258969 View attachment 258971
Wasn't able to get very gooder pics as it's very difficult to stay balanced and safe way out at the branch tips.
No way in hell do I have the balls to do that. I’ll just stay on the ground cutting and throwing stuff into the chipper

Bandit 90XP

Fantastic machine. Bandit makes the best chippers in the industry just a couple hours north of me. But its just as dangerous as climbing a tree. Get your glove hung in a limb and you're gone in less than 2 seconds. Thinking you will have time to hit the panic bar is a false hope. Osha interviews with people who have survived chipper accidents has proved that. These people are not whole and usually survived by the grace of God. Whatever respect you already give that machine double it and never become comfortable and complacent around it.

That’s why I don’t wear gloves around that beast. I also just throw the wood into it, if the wood gets stuck then I just push it in.
