Little late getting a few things done today and took down that 25-30 ft, triple trunk Bartlett pear tree in the backyard but it’s just about grocery time now.

Hated to take it down but damn I was tired of dealing with all the pears every year…and like most fruit trees they just make a damn mess in the yard, attract flies, fruit flies, wasps, yellow jackets, to no damn end. Had folks that used to come by and get as many 5-gal buckets full of the pears they wanted to make pear relish, etc and they kinda petered out over the years, so I permanently handled the problem today. I’m keeping all the big pieces and big limbs, will split/cut it up, let it season and use it for smoking wood.
