Is it hypocritical of me to want to live away from a new development when that development is what provides my income? Too deep of thoughts for a FriYAY morning.

Nope…but your income is gonna happen whether they’re packed in like sardines or not. Only way to curb it, get out further, get five plus acres or so, and now you can keep ‘em at bay. You got plenty o’ money to make it happen.

I find it interesting how living in different areas (rural vs urban) and regions makes a person's perspective differ.
5 acres to keep them at bay.
I am on 35 and feel crowded.
When I travel out to Montana, Wyoming, now those are places I don't feel that way except at our national parks.

They opened for Willie over at DTE a few summers ago. Good times.

Having 150 acres i thought that would be big enough but over 30 years that has become small feeling.
Now i have more neighbors on one side that make noise and let their dogs run free.
I had planned to retire on the property but with one group of nonworking trailer trash living nearby causing trouble for everyone i might get into trouble.
They cut across one corner of a field stomping on crops, cutting a fence and litter.
Maybe with 500 acres and a backhoe i could be happy.
