Sucks! Never like hearing stuff like this! When I think back on how many near misses I’ve had over the years it’s crazy I'm in mostly one piece. Usually it’s because I knew to put myself in the right place at the right time, but some of it has been pure luck. Hopefully the guy will come through it alright. Prayers and positive vibes headed his way.

I've been knocked flat on my ass by spring poles twice. Lost a tree a couple times over a broken hinge. Only escaped serious injury by pure luck.

one time I was adjusting the injection pump on my cummins...somehow in the process I got the wiring for the pyrometer and boost gauge too close to the steering shaft...went to turn into an O'really and couldn't turn...yanked the wheel harder and made it turn...ripped all the said wiring up... *facepalm

Yep that’ll do it. Misjudged spring poles, misjudged tension in the log, broken hinges, logs rolling over onto me while limbing, one scary as he11 barber chair, and that doesn’t even count the mishaps while aloft in a tree. Guess I’d rather be lucky than good on any given day.
