Look up Aldo welds on YouTube. Crazy what he's getting out of them. I'm not a fan of anything new, but it was a eye opener.
Coyote's are a fair bit wider than an LS as far as repower options go tho afaik. There ain't always much room to begin with. Not that i would cross polinate anyway.

The 5.3 is a good engine and easy to get so this is why probably despise them like I do. The whole ls swap has been done to death and I like to see the ls get its arse whipped whenever I can .
lol what about the 6.0 ?
thats what is in my yukon
the other yukon i have has a 5.3 in it

They are huge because of the dohc, actually physically larger than a 460, but for has the new 7.3 gas with a stand alone computer for Godzilla swaps

14 mpg but all wheel drive transfer case
the 6.6 is a little overkill and between 10 and 12 from what ive been told
My cousins had three 6.0’s in 2500 trucks and not one has broke 12 for him, bought all 3 trucks new. Forgot was 2 2500’s and he had one 1500hd crew cab with the 6.0. No engine issues whatsoever just bad mileage

Ford is supposed to be testing a factory twin turbo to put in the superduty right off the lot, I’m sure it won’t be this hot but still probably be in the 6-800hp range.
Premium pump gas is NZD$2.30+ litre....so over $6USD per gallon. Big petrol's not really an option.

yukon is a little lighter than the trucks mentioned i havent put it on a scale yet but id say its low 5000 pound area being its the shorter one
it pulls good though but limited by the brake system
3:73 gears in it

The 6.6 may be a bit overkill if Chevy can figure out how to gear it, they can’t rate it as high as they do with 3:73 gears and a 6 speed transmission. Thing is a turd in every video I’ve seen it in because of the gears. 3:73 is the best they put in them and try to run with Ford and ram with 4:30 rear ends. No matter what you do it can’t complete but that’s the best they offer at the moment

I get that but around here you can burn a fair amount extra in gas and not cover the added tag on a diesel along with all the added maintenance. Unless you only pull heavier every time the truck moves lots of people would be better with the gas.

Can't even get a gasser option in any of our 'mini' trucks anymore, but when you could i think the general concensus was you'd need to do more than 30,000km (~20,000mls) per year to be even what with Road User Charges and other diesel specific costs. But the market spoke and it's diesel only pretty much now.

right the 5.3 is plenty for most even if pulling a boat on the weekend
probably dont need a 8 cylinder if you just use a truck as a ride
but yes unless heavy pulling a person doesnt need a diesel
