Exactly what the article says.
If the vehicle has less than 8,000 miles, replace both banks.
If 8,001 miles, just the bank with a failed lifter.
Lowest mileage failure I've seen was 1,500.
They have a V.I.N. breakpoint in the bulletin, so that tells me they got a run of defective parts from a supplier.
My assumption as to the bank or all mileage thing is that they don't know if all the lifters are faulty and if only 1 side fails, see if the other does in time. They still have a ton of power train warranty left.

It's like their injectors. They have high, nominal and low flow. Company builds the rails with matching injectors. Gm pops them in engines. As long as all are the same, it's all happy. But when one needs to be replaced, we have to remove it to get the # off it to determine the flow. Put in the wrong one and DTC's will set.
Interesting. Bummer on the supplier fukk up. The vehicle manufacturer gets the black eye in the end despite the supplier paying for their mistakes.

A common misconception or even just something not thought about with parts failures is the the auto manufacturers themselves don't make every part for that vehicle themselves.

Here's a 2.4 timing chain guide for example.

Hate to open yer eyes but look at the window sticker one mo' time...Front License Plate Bracket 'No Charge' in the options list. Well worf $41K.

Was talking to one of my brothers a few days ago while he was driving home from work. I asked if he still had the Porsche Boxster I remember him buying a few years before. He didn't. He had traded it in on a 911. I remarked that for a sports car it was very quiet. But he wasn't driving the 911.....he was driving a Mercedes AMG. I can't imagine having the sort of money that guy has. Hell I've been bargain shopping for parts to fix up my 38 year old truck.

41k with a soft top? No way in hell!
I think when I looked hard too option is 600$ more and I could save all that by not getting the front lockers and Sasquatch package. Don’t need 35” tires a lower package with 33” tires and no front lockers would be fine. Want 3:71 rear end if I get one don’t need 4:56 or whatever the crawl gears are. And while it may be nice for awhile I think I’d go automatic like this one not the 7 speed manual which is actually 6 speeds with s super low crawl gear.

Saw this on neighbourhood Facebook page, do want to be happy for him but he sounds so sad…

Please watch out of my white dodge ram 1500 big horn.

Was stolen from Poplar Dr last night.

There is white paint match linex around the wheel wells, has a tonneau cover and the plates HVH 498.

I love this truck and I want it back.

Thanks,

You ever figure out what those impractical black plastic brackets on top of those front fenders are for let me know.
They’re to put a cable on between roof and front fender as a brush deflector, or they’ll support up ro 150 lbs as tie downs for a canoe ect.
