I really wasn't in a position to be doing such a project Brent. Had not long started my first job out of uni with Firestone on the princely sum of $13/hr.
My Improve Everything sickness kicked in and I started building a 4.1 alloy head 6 for my Fairmont Ghia. Motors a relative of Steve's 300 and the mighty Barra. Machining long block and porting the head sucked up all my cash, and traveling over 300 miles every spare weekend to work on it kept it that way.
Turned out good, but a Cleveland woulda turned more heads than a warm 6 did.
Sold it a couple of years later to buy an 89 RS Legacy. Never looked back. AWD Turbo, yes that covers ground rapidly thank you.
Pity the Subarus tore themselves apart so regularly . What you needed was a skyline gts4 . Same or better ability but strong enough to take a pounding . Never needed a v8 after those things came out . They banned them from bathhurst so the v8s could win again .

That 89 RS was ultra reliable mate. Intake, exhaust, suspension, audio. But yeah, had mates with R30 RS and R32 GTS4 Skylines. They were good too ay.

Morning / Evening All.

The sun came up, hoping for a day as bright as the sky. Of course it doesn’t start well when the first email you look at is to share a set of plans for a job happening today and you realize there is more missing than included on the plan…
