I know one thing…here in the shop with a cold beer and in front of a big ol’ air handler blower motor/squirrel cage fan ain’t doing me a bit of damn good. That 90 deg full on sun is kinda suckage.

Good Morning Todd. Doing fine. Running errands and back from late lunch with wife and daughter. It is a rain day, so more tinkering in the garage.

Old coworker of mine had this Craftsman II mower that he wants to fix up for his son. Its been sitting (outside) for some time so he asked me if I would get it running for him. I picked it up today. Looks like the battery is gonna be okay, the tires should hold air. Hopefully it just needs fuel lines and a good cleaning. No idea what the deck is like but the spindles seem frozen so who knows what that will entail.

Got the starter swapped out on my F350 ute. Now the alternator ain't charging. Now @dall it ain't because it's a damn Ford. I used a Chevy alternator. LOL

Basically, here, a truck has a bed. A sport Utility vehicle, aka SUV, is a Jeep, Blazer, Tahoe, Four runner ect. There are crossover SUVs and trucks as well that share certain car underpinnings.

So "ute" is a utility vehicle? Enclosed in the ass end?

Ute is Holden's new elcamino down under so it refers to the car/trucks like the Honda Ridgeline or Subaru Baja type of vehicle.

Google can say what it wants, but working men like Todd and I call a single, extended or double cab vehicle with a bed or tray behind a ute. That bed or tray can be covered with a tonneau or hardlid or hightop canopy, but it's still a ute. Ranger, Colorado, Hilux up to 3500kg tow.
An SUV, think RAV4 or Santa Fe or FourRunner, is not a ute, even though they are often built using common components.

I don't think we got El Caminos, coz that would be too cool. Defo don't have Ridgelines or the Subaru thing, although both appear useful in their own space.

Ford G3 alternator is better than any 10 or 12si gm alternator!

You must not have any real weird people in your parts. Most any Subaru owner in my experience is goofy in the wrong sense.
