how many ply tires ?

Older versions used 195R14C Dallas, which can carry approx 900kg per tyre at 65psi.
They now use 205/70R15C, same loading.

We'd call it 8 ply, but tyres aren't actually built like that.

Google can say what it wants, but working men like Todd and I call a single, extended or double cab vehicle with a bed or tray behind a ute. That bed or tray can be covered with a tonneau or hardlid or hightop canopy, but it's still a ute. Ranger, Colorado, Hilux up to 3500kg tow.
An SUV, think RAV4 or Santa Fe or FourRunner, is not a ute, even though they are often built using common components.

I don't think we got El Caminos, coz that would be too cool. Defo don't have Ridgelines or the Subaru thing, although both appear useful in their own space.

So a pick-up truck here, is a Ute where you live. But we both say SUVs, sport ute ility vehicle. Lol.

just about everyone here would need cdls if that was law here
when i hauled the hay i was in the area of 25000 pounds 12.5 ton your metric ton is 2200 pounds so over 11 metric tons
it is nothing to see skid steers and excavators on trailers being pulled by 3/4 ton trucks
even see dozers at times behind 1 ton trucks

Over 5000kg combined you need a Heavy Transport drivers licence.
Bit of a grey area, a ute and a 3500kg trailer weight technically doesn't leave you any tare for the bed/tray. But, no one got room for that...

You must not have any real weird people in your parts. Most any Subaru owner in my experience is goofy in the wrong sense.

As a two time RS Legacy / Liberty owner I may well qualify as goofy then.

That's a nice weekend. If you got time the Pa. Lumber museum is on out Rt.6. They might have something going on. I was never impressed with our Pa. Grand Canyon. It's out that way too. You are in timber country up that way from a century ago. No as active now unfortunately.
