Interesting. So two sepitc systems? Or grey can go in something else? First I'm hearing of this outside of campers and motorhomes.
Grey/black water/storm water, any and all water, hits the city and/or county sewage systems here. Only exception is folks with septic tanks.

Some of ours runs off into a dry well type deal.

Since we are in the middle of nowhere, it's not a big deal. I will say that removing the gray water from the septic system was a great idea. It allowed a barely sufficient system to last 20 years or more before more leach field had to be added.

Guidelines are a little vague for gray water here. Just says it needs to meet the health inspectors approval for safety. Ours runs into a dry well. Just a big pit filled with sand and gravel. Neighbors up the road runs into a nice little pond.

Same here. Washer has been diverted to a drainage ditch that runs off the property. Hope to have sinks and shower redirected some day. Sinks from the shop/lean-to just run into a gravel pit thats covered by topsoil. Dont even know its there. We dont run enough water to make a soft spot. So far, havent even had to have the septic tank pumped. Its been in since 97, so I know that day is coming.:tiburon:

hay done yet ?

The first bit is in the barn. But I've got about 30 more acres in the first cutting that I've yet to start on. It's just been too cool to dry yet. I reckon I need to invest in a bale wrapper.

I'd have it pumped every 5 years or so just to get the solids out.

don’t look at the pics below if you think Bambi is cute and don’t like dead animals

I had a friend of a friend around earlier today. That road kill deer I picked up Saturday morning still warm was in my shed 5 days hanging supposedly more tender and tasty…
The stuff in its stomach was starting to ferment

I gave her a bit more than half for doing the job that I wasn’t keen on doing:D
