Same in some ways here, different in some. Some on here have met my son. He's going to be just fine whether the deal with this girl works out or not. He works his ass off and wants more. His 16 year old sister has college credit already and could probably talk a lot of people in this thread to death. I have them both here tonight at the lake and feel incredibly lucky. I think we could all do better but I've never stopped being a proud father either.

This makes me reflect back...how my old sick ass Marine head could’ve done so many things different. I’ve been reasonable for many yrs as best I can, getting these kids through college, military...

I’ve always hung myself out to dry, first and foremost when it came to the kids. It took me several, arrogance-filled yrs to see the damage I done...what I did back in those Marine Corps days, and many yrs afterwards. I wouldn’t wish it no one man!

After making sure he still had it and
Making arrangements to look at it.
The NOPE texts me that he was just wanting to see what it was worth.
