When I was doing that job before we used to average 2 /3 a day then wrap and put on the rack .Some days I used to come home spent

We usually don’t get loads like this from a single supplier, usually just 8 to 10 skids per day and the warehouse guys can usually handle it (now that we have a good group of guys that all work hard).

We took 7 calves out of the field across from the house yesterday. The cows have raised hell all night wanting their babies back. I'll give them some grain this morning.....that'll take their minds off of it. For about 10 minutes.

Gas prices?

Have you checked the price of fertilizer?

It's gonna be double what it was last year. Hopefully, cattle prices follow suit. I'll sell my whole herd.
Pressure treated lumber is insane. We need a new fence, last fall was insane at $3200 but couldn’t get it. This spring lots of supply but $5800. F that *s-worde.

An old man told me years ago that one day it would take a wheelbarrow full of money to buy anything. We have arrived.

I buy lumber from a local sawmill Gary. A few weeks ago I paid 2 bucks a board for 1 x 6 x 8" pine.

Untreated lumber won't last as long of course, but certain species will last a very long time if taken care of.

Here we have hemlock, and locust. I've seen locust posts last 40 years and still be solid.

My wife spent 17 years doing the billing/accounts receivable at an agricultural supply store. Fertilizer prices and supplies have always been crazy how they fluctuate. How you guys budget for that crap always amazed me.

White Oak is very good too. For those prices Gary I'd strongly consider looking into cedar from a smaller independent sawmill.
