I'd respectfully disagree. MiniTex has been around this forum enough to know making cookies is more than adequate when asked for video of a saw running.
I wanted to see the saw repair vids of the trash can saw. The b4 and after. Never thought he'd go cut a big a$$ tree down. I wouldn't have cut that. I'm inexperienced in felling other than 12" and under straight pine trees away from anything but myself to hurt. You guys saw the biggest I've ever cut in a different thread. I asked for advice. It's fine. It's how we learn.

With you guys asking for a video, I provided y'all one. Like I've said, any tips that y'all have, I'll be happy to hear em as long as I'm not insulted because I don't have as much experience as the rest of you guys
Ok, my 2 cents.
Brett, glad nobody got hurt.
I dont think anyone here was asking you to do a felling video. They just wanted you to post up running the saws.
Having said that, I admire your determination, though I question your reasoning.
Theres a lot that could have gone very wrong there.
I'm guessing you probably know that now.
As has already been said, you need a snatch block secured with a choker to an anchor tree so the pulling line doesnt slip like that one did.
There are a ton of other things that need to be learned.
Be patient and listen to advice along with constructive criticism. And stay the fugg away from standing trees for awhile!
You have plenty of wood to cut cookies with now.

Ok, lets see a side view of that stump so we can critique the face, notch, and back cuts.

not doing that until i know more
Most joysticks break wires, pia. Just a thought
I went and got a whole case of Snickers after reading the other night. I’m ready to piss some mfers off
Welp swears ours... pass that chit around!
Got a 4300 Poo-lan thats like that. Its been COMPLETELY apart.
New everything in the lower end etc. Nothing wrong with top end. Still doesnt run right.
Just sitting on the shelf til I get back around to it.
Remove carbltater use a BFH, replace relief or just make it disappear :D
Yeah I sticker them and let them dry. Got people wanting to buy it right now. Wasn't planning on that, but we'll see where it goes.
Sell that chit
Try this :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:
I think HL supply has a good priced 36 inch mill. For a saw 94cc and up if you want it to last. If the wood in your area isn't very big you could get away with a smaller mill, but I would still run a big saw. Once in awhile I will use my 371 ported by Steve, but I really don't like doing that.
I can get you a 48" pretty cheap. PM me.
Bigger is better with the overhang weight. Big saws suck on a small mill imo.
Good to know. Fanks.

Work it right, and there's your big saw and mill lol.
:chuck::naughty:
LOL!
Sounds like mine.
Just messin with ya.
Hope youre getting around better.
My grandfather had one done that they didnt get quite right. Pained him a lot. He ended up getting it redone, and no problems after that.
Got a cousin who has had one replaced, and he is having lingering pain.
Long story short, if it doesn't feel right, make them fix it. Don't suffer.
My MIL had her new hip break for no good reason. She didn't sue them :facepalm: said it always hurt the first time around.
