consider getting yourself a 70cc class saw to pair up with that 490
50cc and 70cc... Classic 2 saw plan.

I kind of regret not getting a 501p instead of the 490. Even after the muffler mod and a better chain, I still think the 501p would’ve been the better saw
Since you already have the 490, I don't think there's enough difference to justify you switching. I'd save my pennies and get a 70cc saw.

Any particular saws you’d recommend? I’ve been looking at getting a bigger saw for larger trees. Something like a used 372, 460 or 461. I don’t have the budget for a new one

Hard to go wrong with any of those... find yourself a dolmar 6400 and build it into a 7900/10... learn somthing.
