Yotes won't mess with people unless there is something very wrong with them or cornered.
It takes a bit of getting used to when they are being vocal though. We hear them all the time.

I guess I am also a little extra mindful as earlier this year some of our busiest walking and cycling trails had to be closed due to coyote activity that was unusually aggressive towards humans.

Nothing carrying a .40 wouldn’t cure but that’s just not in the cards here. Can’t even go to a range and practice right now.
