What the hell happened? Why can't I buy .404" chain anymore? My big Macs only have .404" chain...

It's hard enough as is, why did they have to get rid of .404" Stupid Dalling bastards.

I checked the chain on one of the saws and it's .063 gauge... however, I have not checked the original chains and bars yet... the one I checked was a NOS McCulloch bar and chain package.

Checked Oregon's site and they no longer list .404" However, it seems there are other sources of it.

As for how much I need, Gary? Not sure yet... have to check what the other chains' gauge is.

Huh, when I checked the Oregon site, I did a find a chain/bar thing on a Mac 790, not looked for product lines... d'oh.

Thanks, guys... needed a little help through a bit of a brain fart.

.404 .063 is common, in .058 not so much ,in .050 rare .Fact I got the last of .058 skip Baileys had .
