Make things simple.
300i
400i
500i
600i
I'm waiting on that 600i. A fuel injected 90cc saw would be the bees knees. But stihl hasn't really cared much about timber fallers since the 90's. So even if they did, expect it to be geared toward city oriented arborist

That sounds about right. 661 are right at $2,000 msrp in a lot of places here.
Just less than a year ago when I was pricing/selling new 661 powerheads at $2850 for a pair or $1475 for one (no tax) folks told me I was overpriced.

There isn't a chance in hell stihl won't continue on with a 70cc model.
Looking at the power-to-weight ratio of the MS 300, 400, & 500...it would be a reasonable way to cut another model (reducing manufacturing costs) while maintaining consistent coverage across the product line.

Im not sure what you mean by that? Plenty of fallers are running the 500i. Seems to be Stihls most popular model with timber fallers.

That's 1,440.67. That's a decent jump over the 261c

Lol..

A 53cc saw isn't going to be almost 1500 bucks when it's for sale in the US. I know you're new to this forum, but every single time a new saw model is on the way the nerd rodeo gets their calculators out and ends up not even close by the time it's for sale here. They had the 500i in the thousands...lol...when they came out here I could buy one for around 1400 bucks if I remember correctly.

a little more with the inflation and tariffs...yes.

It's a bit cool with new launches and complaints.
Electronics and electronically adjusted carburetor, live with it, because you won't get anything else from Stihl & Husqvarna's pro saws in the future, the next step for them will be the sub-pro segment, it has already arrived on Husqvarna's 450.

It doesn't matter whether we like this development or not, we don't get the choice to choose.

Now I think both brands have come up with or will come up with gadgets so that the user can easily get operating time information etc from the chainsaw.

MS 300 C-M: 4.5 HP, 10.6 lbs
MS 462 C-M: 4.5 HP, 13.2 lbs and up
MS 500i: 5.0 HP, 13.9 lbs and up

You might be right, but it's not looking good for the MS 461/462.

***Correction, I read the STIHL chart wrong, it's:
MS 300 C-M: 4.5 HP, 10.6 lbs
MS 462 C-M: 6.0 HP, 13.2 lbs and up
MS 500i: 6.7 HP, 13.9 lbs and up
