Seems awfully strange that they would release an update that weights TWO pounds more than previous versions of the same model line. If this were true, it would weigh slightly more than the MS400 and within a half pound of the MS462. That is no place for a 261. Unless this assumes weight of bar and chain given that the translation is "System weight"

the given weight includes bar and chain, but excludes fuel and oil.
The power unit won't change according to weight.
But the new narrow chain and bar are lighter with respect to the former ones obviously.

Tin-coated plunger inside the carb---not tin-coated piston.
Both parts have the same name in german -> lost in translation

referring to:
...
a tinned piston
...
I hope I translated everything right.

@HP Ultra
Bitte richtig zitieren und keine Dinge aus dem Zusammenhang reißen.
Lese bitte mal genau die original Quelle, dort steht u.a. verzinnter Kolben!! :sisi2:

Official STIHL statement:
So wurden die Zuverlässigkeit und Langlebigkeit des Triebwerks durch einen verzinnten Kolben, der vernickelten Drosselwelle und ein neues Magnetventil im Vergaser nochmals gesteigert.

Hence reliability and durability of the power unit could be enhanced with a tinned piston, nickle plated throttle shaft and a new solenoid valve within the carburator

This is referring to the accelerator pump plunger piston.

The material change of the pump piston of the accelerator pump was already in 2016, so that`s nothing new. Also the carburetors used on the C-M`s don`t have an accelerator pump.

In your linked document is nothing about the accelerator pump of the carburetor.
